About this week’s Wellness Wednesday community partner:
At POP UP YOGA DSM, we believe yoga should be accessible and enjoyable so that everyone in our community can reap the benefits of a personal practice. We also believe in the power of community; we know strong connections build powerful, supportive friendships, and exploring one's community leads to sustainable, urban growth. That's why we offer free yoga classes to the Des Moines community in a variety of unique spaces -- parks, farmer's markets, rooftops, galleries, music festivals, warehouses and businesses.  Our classes welcome all levels of students, whether you are brand new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner. These classes are 100% free to attend, but some specialty "pop-ups" may be donation based to help support our cause or a local charity. We aim to provide more opportunities for you to prioritize your health and wellness, as well as introduce you to different styles of yoga-- and maybe help you make a friend or two. Above all, we hope that participating in POP UP YOGA DSM encourages you to begin or cultivate a personal yoga practice at a studio right here in Des Moines.

This week’s POP UP YOGA DSM is Jayla! She wishes to create an environment that offers both physical and mental breakthroughs.  She encourages people to explore themselves by creating relatable themes with impact and wishes to empower those that feel weak.  Being a weak person when she started training, Jayla aspires to instill the same lessons, feelings, and confidence that I've gained through yoga.  Please bring a yoga mat, water, towel and a friend to join!
