The Broadway League
Des Moines Performing Arts is a member of The Broadway League, the national trade association for the Broadway Theatre Industry. The Broadway League provides support for Broadway-based education initiatives.

International Performing Arts for Youth
Des Moines Performing Arts is a member of International Performing Arts for Youth, a worldwide membership organization dedicated to supporting professional performing arts for young audiences.

John F. Kennedy Center
Des Moines Performing Arts partners with the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. as part of the Kennedy Center’s national Partners in Education program. The program is a network of arts organizations and their local school districts for which the Kennedy Center provides resources to assist in the creation of arts-based professional development opportunities for educators.  

The National High School Musical Theater Awards
The Iowa High School Musical Theater Awards, a program of Des Moines Performing Arts,is a regional program of the National High School Musical Theater Awards. Students from across the country, including two nominees from Iowa, gather in New York City each summer for a week of intense rehearsals and coachings with Broadway industry professionals.

LOCAL PARTNERSHIPS

Blank Park Zoo
Blank Park Zoo partners with Des Moines Performing Arts by providing field trip collaboration opportunities for students who attend Applause Series performances as well as animal education activities as part of the Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield Family Series. 

Des Moines Public Schools
Des Moines Performing Arts and its neighborhood school district, Des Moines Public Schools, entered into a formal partnership with one another in 2010 through the Kennedy Center’s national Partners in Education program. Together, the district and Des Moines Performing Arts co-present a series of arts-based professional development opportunities for local educators. In addition, Des Moines Public Schools is the Applause Series’ largest constituent with DMPS students and educators accounting for 35% of total attendance.

Des Moines Symphony and Academy
The Des Moines Symphony and Academy partners with Des Moines Performing Arts by providing musicians and other music-related activites as part of the Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield Family Series.

Paws & Effect
Paws & Effect partners with Des Moines Performing Arts by providing reading and service dog education activities as part of the Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield Family Series.  

RaySociety
The RaySociety, a lifelong learning organization supported by Drake University, partners with Des Moines Performing Arts on the creation of special workshops and courses designed for lifelong learners around Broadway, dance, and other programming.

Science Center of Iowa
The Science Center of Iowa partners with Des Moines Performing Arts by providing field trip collaboration opportunities for students who attend Applause Series performances as well as science education activities as part of the Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield Family Series.
