Photographer Cristina Mittermeier
Grades 5-8

Cristina Mittermeier, aka "Mitty" is a renowned conservation photographer who has dedicated her life’s work to safeguarding the world's oceans and inspiring millions to do the same. As a Biochemical Engineer in Marine Sciences, Christina found that sharing her passion for ocean life was better accomplished through telling powerful stories - and that her photography helped drive conservation efforts. In 2014, she co-founded SeaLegacy, a non-profit organization that works at the intersection of art, science, and conservation to rewild the ocean for the benefit of biodiversity, humanity, and climate stability within our lifetimes. Join Christina as she shares stories and insights from life aboard SeaLegacy 1, her research catamaran and home for six months each year, and invites us to consider “What is enough?”
