It’s the most magical time of the year, so to commemorate, we are bringing some magic to our stage for you! Cirque Dreams Holidaze is the ultimate family-friendly, holiday spectacular. With its Broadway-style production around an infusion of contemporary circus arts and its original music score that includes twists on seasonal favorites, no one will want to leave their seat. Cirque Dreams Holidaze is unlike anything you’ve seen before, and there are so many interesting fun facts about the show. 

 

Did you know... 

  • 186 costumes are seen onstage. 
  • 300 bolts of fabric are used in the making of the costumes. 
  • 54 hats are worn each show.

  • There is 3300+ square feet of scenic drops.  
  • 14 countries are represented onstage amongst three touring companies: Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Ethiopia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine, USA, and Venezuela. 
  • There are 20 original musical arrangements in the production. 
Acrobatic performance during Cirque Dreams Holidaze
  • The cast consumes 20,000 ounces of water per week.  
  • 20,514 miles are traveled during the three Cirque Dreams Holidaze national tours.  
  • 500+ people audition per year to be cast in a Cirque Dreams Holidaze touring production. 
  • 125 performances will be played in over 60 cities in 6 1/2 weeks in 2023 to make your HOLIDAZE spectacular from coast-to-coast! 
Cirque Dreams Holidaze acrobatics

Cirque Dreams Holidaze is at the Des Moines Civic Center for four performances. Come see the show on Friday 12/22 at 7:30pm, or choose from three show times on Saturday 12/23, 11am, 3pm, and 7pm. Don’t miss an ensemble of aerial circus acts, sleight-of-hand jugglers, fun-loving skippers, breath-catching acrobatics, and much more. Spend time with your loved ones this holiday while introducing them to a live performance they will be raving about even when the snow melts and the sun returns.
