The Temple Theater first opened its doors to Iowa's longest running show, Triple Espresso - A Highly Caffeinated Comedy in 2002. Today, the Temple Comedy Series brings you professional Off-Broadway productions in this intimate 300-seat theater environment.
Now entering its third season, Des Moines Performing Arts is proud to offer you world-class dance companies performing brilliant repertoires of modern and contemporary dance, ballet and more. For an even richer experience, DanceTalks preface and follow each performance.
The Family Series features professional touring productions made just for your littlest theater-goers between the ages of 4 and 10. Come early for the Discovery Party and enhance the theater experience with fun arts, crafts, music and more! All shows are Saturdays at 1:00.
This program presents professional touring productions to school audiences and continues to engage students and educators from across the region. The Des Moines Performing Arts welcomes an average of 35,000+ students and educators each year for Applause! Series performances.

The Downtown Community Alliance and Des Moines Performing Arts present the Lunch Unplugged Concert Series. The eight-week entertainment series hosts concerts from noon-1 p.m. at the Temple Theater each spring.
