Students participating in the Triple Threat Award or Assistant Stage Manager programs who live more than 60 miles from Des Moines are eligible for overnight accommodations.

ALL STUDENTS ATTENDING THE 2026 IHSMTA SHOWCASE WILL BE REQUIRED TO HAVE A SIGNED WAIVER.

Students under the age of 18 must have the waiver filled out by their legal guardian / parent.

Students who do not have a signed waiver will not receive their ticket to the IHSMTA Showcase.

OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT IN A BEHIND-THE-SCENES ROLE STUDENTS:

Students who receive Outstanding Achievement in a Behind-the-Scenes Role are required to upload a video documenting their process.

The Iowa High School Musical Theater Awards Technical Theater Scholarship program celebrates student leaders in technical theater.

Applicants should demonstrate leadership, creativity and technical schools demonstrated through their work on their school's musical this season and beyond, as well as display a track record of working to grow and improve their technical theater craft.

Applicants must apply as Individuals. Group applications will not be accepted.

Recipients representing each division will receive a one-time scholarship of $2,500, with the goal of aiding them in their future studies.

Applications are due no later than Monday, April 27 by 4 PM.

Finalist will be notified on Monday, May 4 at 4:00 p.m.
