Access Broadway

Thanks to the generous support of our donors and partnership with the touring Broadway shows that perform at the Civic Center, Des Moines Performing Arts is thrilled to share - ACCESS BROADWAY - high schoolers' ticket to Broadway!

Through this program, DMPA partners with high schools throughout the state to provide $10 tickets to select Broadway performances for students who may not have regular opportunities to experience the performing arts.

ELIGIBILITY
Eligible high schools meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • A Des Moines Public High School
  • Title I
  • 50% or more of the student body qualifies for free and reduced meals

TO REGISTER FOR THE PROGRAM
If your school meets at least one of the eligibility criteria, please fill out this form as completely as you are able. After receiving your submission, a DMPA staff member will arrange a brief onboarding call to share the goals and how to use the program.

Access Broadway: Back to the Future

We welcomed nearly 100 students from three DMPS high schools to Back to the Future: The Musical through the Access Broadway Program.

Access Broadway invites local high school students to have their first experience with a Broadway show by removing barriers of ticket and transportation costs. The shows in our Willis Broadway Series offer tickets for this program at $20 each. The generosity of our Donors allows that price to be reduced to just $10 per ticket.
