Earthy, radiant, and rhythmically alive, Alysha Brilla creates music that feels both deeply personal and beautifully expansive. A three-time JUNO Award-nominated songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and performer, Brilla brings a sound shaped by her Indo-Tanzanian heritage, the landscapes of the Great Lakes, and a lifelong belief in music as a force for healing and connection.

Driven by global percussion, percussive guitar, and soaring vocals, Brilla’s live show is more than a concert — it’s a shared experience. Her music moves through call and response, layered harmonies, and heartbeat rhythms, inviting audiences into a space that feels communal, embodied, and full of life.

On stage, Brilla performs with a powerhouse ensemble featuring reggae legend Gerima Harvey on percussion and vocals, who has performed with The Wailers, and internationally touring multi-instrumentalist Sammy Duke on bass guitar, cajon, and vocals. Together, the trio builds a living rhythmic ecosystem, weaving voice, strings, and percussion into something vibrant, grounded, and unmistakably their own.

Brilla’s artistry has carried her across the globe, with performances at major international festivals including WOMAD in Chile, the Montreal Jazz Festival, Woodford Folk Festival in Australia, MIDEM in France, Singapore GP, and Iceland Airwaves. Her work has also reached beyond the stage: she composed the score for the acclaimed feature film The Queen of My Dreams, earned a 2024 Canadian Screen Award nomination, and was named the 2025 Women in Music International Leadership Honouree.

As one of the first self-produced female artists to receive a JUNO Award nomination, Brilla has built a career defined by creative independence, cultural depth, and musical curiosity. She has collaborated with artists including The Black Eyed Peas, Bedouin Soundclash, Digging Roots, No Doubt, Paula Sofia, and Grammy-winning mastering engineer Emily Lazar.

With a new album arriving in 2026, Alysha Brilla brings a performance rooted in rhythm, story, and genuine connection — the kind of show that asks audiences not just to listen, but to feel the music moving through the room.
