Made in the Midwest Season Overview
July 22, 2026Regional music gets a new home this season as Made in the Midwest moves into the reimagined Stoner Theater.
Created to celebrate independent artists and spotlight the creativity of the Midwest music scene, Made in the Midwest returns with a fall lineup full of indie, soul, pop, jazz, bluegrass and Americana. This season, the series takes on new energy inside the revitalized Stoner Theater, an intimate space designed to bring audiences closer to the music, the artists and the stories behind every performance.
Launched in January 2025, Made in the Midwest reflects Des Moines Performing Arts’ commitment to uplifting regional voices and creating space for artists to bring their full, authentic selves to the stage. In the Stoner Theater, that mission feels even more personal. The room invites connection — between artist and audience, between neighbors and community, and between the songs and the people experiencing them together.
The fall 2026 lineup features five standout performances: Dickie with opener Joel Sires, TAE & The Neighborly with opener Rutabaga, NOLA Jazz Band Quartet, GreenTTea & The Tempos with opener Indi&Mk, and MoonShroom with opener Casey Joe Collins.
From soulful vocals and jazz grooves to indie storytelling and bluegrass roots, Made in the Midwest offers a fresh way to experience the talent growing right here in our region — now in a space built for listening, gathering and discovering something new.
