Help us pave the way for our favorite witches to take the stage!
The road to Oz is coming to downtown Des Moines—and we need your help to build it!
Join us Saturday, August 29, from 9–10 a.m. outside the Civic Center on the west side for a fun, family-friendly community activity where we’ll create our very own version of the iconic Yellow Brick Road.
Grab some sidewalk chalk, get creative and help us pave the way for an unforgettable trip to Oz. We’ll also have wand-making, coloring activity sheets and other fun activities for all ages. Costumes are welcome and encouraged, so come dressed as your favorite character and get into the Oz spirit!

And don’t forget your Passport to Oz! You can get your passport stamped at our event—and double up on your stamps by visiting the Downtown Des Moines Farmers’ Market. The market will be a Passport to Oz stop that day, with stamping available at the market’s information booth.
