Through this macabre look at the American Midwestern family, we witness Dodge, Halie, Tilden, and their other sons—fight to survive in a disintegrating household, where generational wounds and dark secrets bubble up to the surface. As Vince returns to the farmhouse in hopes of reclaiming a sense of identity, he uncovers the deep dysfunction, past sins, and repressed horrors that have marred his family history and that refuse to stay buried.
