The season brings a collection of exciting titles and characters to Des Moines Performing Arts stages. The magical Velveteen, A New Musical, places the classic tale of The Velveteen Rabbit into the modern day. Jim Henson’s Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock LIVE is the first-ever live touring show starring the beloved Fraggles. Expect laughs, surprises, and a bit of delightful disorder with Dr. Seuss’s The Cat in the Hat - Live on Stage! Honolulu Theatre for Youth brings Tales of the Sun and Moon, featuring celestial myths and legends from various cultures. And, What Do You Do With A Problem? is a dance theatre adaptation of the bestselling children’s book of the same name.

New for the 2026-27 Season, there is no longer a set season ticket package. You can pick and choose what shows and dates work best for your family! Plus, save 10% when you select 2 or more shows. This allows for the most flexibility possible.

No. Due to the flexible nature of this package, payment plans are not possible.
When will I get my tickets?
When will I get my tickets?
By default, any tickets purchased through Des Moines Performing Arts will be available in the free DMPA app. Download the app today to easily access your tickets, explore upcoming events, and more. Your ticket barcode will appear 72 hours before your performance.

There will be some pre-show activities planned for several of the Wellmark Family Series events. These will be communicated with ticket holders in the weeks leading up to the shows.
What if I change my mind and want to swap into a different show?
What if I change my mind and want to swap into a different show?
Not a problem, schedules change and we are here to help! You can move your tickets into any productions in the Wellmark Family Series Season (including newly announced shows) as well as any production in the Willis Broadway Series, Live at the Temple Concert Series, National Geographic Live Speaker Series, Temple Comedy Series or Dance Series presentation in the same season. Additional payment for higher-priced tickets required. Substitutions must be made 24 hours prior to the beginning of the production's engagement online on your account page, in person or by calling 515-246-2322.

When a new show is added to the Wellmark Family Series, you will be among the first to know! You will have early access to tickets prior to the public. Though your seat locations may vary from show to show, you will be one of the first to have access to purchasing tickets.
